ABOUT

About

In 2004 Jeff was awarded his BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art and Design) and Enrolled in The Kent Institute of Art and Design (University for the Creative Arts) attaining his BA Fine Art degree.

Blaze tattoo studio was where Jeff became a apprentice under Mick Dash. The studio was recognised by the movie industry, helping with tattoo designs for a Robbie Williams video and the Robert De Niro film Stardust. Working alongside Darren (Iron shoe), Guy (Familee tattoo), Scott (Superstition tattoo). However due to family illness Jeff had to relocate back to Essex.

Jeff soon found London's famous Barry Louvaine's House of Living Art where he soon began working again. While at the well-established studio national newspapers would contact Jeff to pretend tattoo the England football team manager’s lookalike during the world cup build up. Working alongside Steli (Transylvania rites), Miguel (Latin angel), Tommi (Tomi tatau), Endre (Tattooend).

The next move would be to Forever ink which was featured on the TV show TOWIE however Jeff would not appear in front of camera as the show had zero artistic credibility. Relocating to Cherrys tattoos, Jeff focused on building his Essex client base further before expanding into new territories with, Mettle Nettle, Rave'ing ink and Custom Ink. From Canterburry to london to Essex to Cambridge and currently Suffolk with Illustrated Primate.

Custom carnage was Jeff’s first convention appearance where some footage was used on the TV show Bodyshockers.
Jeff has since worked a number of guest spots and conventions all over the UK  including : Pride and Glory, 10 Volt Tattoo, Monumental Ink, Rapture Ink, Tattoo Freeze and The Great British Tattoo Convention. Producing high quality works of art on skin and ever growing as an artist.

After

When you get home you will need to remove the dressing applied upon completion of the tattoo. You will need to wash the area down with warm water and mild soap (anti-bacterial, Dove, baby soap), massage with a clean hand removing any surface layer ink and blood. Pat dry with kitchen towel or air dry and reapply Bepanthen or hustle butter onto the Tattooed area.

During the first two weeks of healing you will need to change the dressing and reapply the cream at least two to three times per day, keeping covered when clothing is in contact with the tattoo, during the night times which will protect the broken skin from dirt and germs.

I recommend changing after morning wash and before going to bed at the very least.

  • Wash

  • Pat dry

  • Cream

  • Cling film

In the second week continue the after care until the skin has returned back to normal. During the healing process you will need to avoid submerging in water for long periods of time, this will include the sea, swimming pools, saunas, Jacuzzi, steam rooms, spray tans, sun beds and direct exposure to the sun.

Switch to a moisturiser or cocoa butter to help the skin after the second week. this will also make your tattoo appear more vibrant.

It is very important not to pick, scratch or allow the tattoo to dry out during healing and always follow the tattoo artist's instructions at all times.

Hands and feet will take a lot longer to heal and require some time to air out while inactive, each day to help the skin.

All joints on the body should be creamed more to prevent them healing to themselves.

Any issues send a text, email or Facebook message for further advice.

GETTING THE TATTOO IS THE EASY PART. LOOKING AFTER IT IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO THE FINAL RESULT
